Resources in EMC Networker are anything that is configurable to the Networker server. This includes clients, policies, devices, groups and jukeboxes to name a few. They are kept as text files in the nsr/res/nsrdb directory and are generated by the RAP process. It is important NOT to modify them manually.
See page 32 of the Networker training manual for a list of resource types.
Update logging in Networker logs any change to a resource and is configured by selecting the "Monitor RAP" attribute.
The Audit Log is a new feature in version 8.0 of Networker. It logs security-related events, such as authorization attempts, privilege checks, resource creation or deletion and can be run on a separate server and accommodate multiple Networker Servers as well.
The 3 administrative interfaces for Networker are the GUI NMC (Networker Management Console) which is the primary interface for Networker, or the system can also be administered from the CLI using nsradmin. Available on UNIX servers only is nsrwatch, which is for monitoring the system.
